Puy St Vincent
Parked up in the Campervan Aire next to the fire station where the water is available. At least it usually is but the water pipes have frozen. Just hope nobody needs the fire brigade round here. After a trip to the tourist office who pointed us to a garage on one of the apartment blocks we now have water and free electricity for the inconvenience. After a weeks wild camping this is a luxury. We can run the laptop and charge mobiles via the solar panels and pop our generator on for the cooker/tv so we are totally self sufficient but the generator is a bit noisy so we keep its use to the minimum . Now we are on the mains Ian is trying to get reception on the TV again but to no avail. We are near the top of a mountain, clear skies and still no picture not even a sniff of some tacky Euro quiz show. We have had reception once for two days at New Year, BBC World Service where are you just a bit of news would be lovely. Ian is now swearing at the tv there’s a hint of a picture there from ‘bloody turkey again’. His words not mine and others that I can’t repeat. Finally he has given up and doing the hoovering instead-even that is a novelty!
